The English Shepherd Friends would like to offer an outlet for those who wish to record their stories, tales, whoppers and anecdotes about their own, or a farm shepherd they have known. We also welcome your photos and poems that you wish to contribute to our blog, our email group, or our webpage.
For all too long the good old American FarmSheperd has been relegated to somewhere out back unsung and unheralded despite his being one of the finest dogs ever bred by man or womankind. We know there are hundreds of stories of courage, devotion, service, merriment, melancholy, and companionship out there and would like to hope you would be willing to share your yarns, narratives, chronicles, rhymes, odes, sonnets, epics, limericks, elegies, or couplets about your canine friends with your English Shepherd Friends.
We, of course, would like to keep our cluster informal; however, for the sake of harmony, accord, and amity we ask that you allow us to record your membership username and email address along with your waiver and release (permission) to print your submissions without consideration of payment or recourse.
Which, put simply, you keep the rights, but don't expect payment for sharing your stories, photos, etc., from anyone affiliated with this group.

Mission and Purpose
English Shepherd Friends strives to cultivate a culture of fascination with, and love for, English Shepherd dogs. Join us as we provide a tour of the intricacies of the breed that will not only enlighten their illustrious history, but also foreshadowing for you their future destinies and calling. We think you'll not only agree that English Shepherds truly are the yardstick by which all other dogs are measured, but that your fellow English Shepherd aficionados are also an excellent resources and fine human beings.It shall be the purpose of English Shepherd Friends to share in a positive light all of the wondrous traits, attributes and qualities inherent in the character and personality of our English Shepherd pals.For all too long our talented dogs and devoted companions have been left quasi anonymous and all but unsung. It shall be our expressed purpose to rectify this omission; this breach of good faith by calling forth those of you who may choose to pay tribute to Shep, honor his noble lineage and exalt his integrity with stories, legends and tales that will indeed revere his name and his veneration. All too often we individually recognize how intelligent and dedicated these shepherd chums are; however, today we must join together in a mighty chorus to sing out our songs of praise in a continuing anthem of good will toward Shep and to others equally dedicated to the continuum of this fine breed. We will indeed gather together and collectively put pen to paper in tribute, in praise, in exhortation to the homage of these dogs who have served us so faithfully in silent obedience for all too long.And apart from our accolades to our dogs, we will likewise honor and pay deference to those who love and care for these patrician and princely canines with all due respect, good sense, civil practice and courteous manner to each other. Who Are We?
First of all we are not a club, we have no officers, we have no treasury nor do we keep minutes because we hold no meetings. Our concept here is quite simple: Alone, we and our shepherds are not in anyway nearly as significant as the combined and unabridged truths about our canine friends in concurrence.. We hope to share together everything English Shepherd with friends who love this breed.
We make no judgements, we engage in no gossip, we have no bones to pick, nor linen to hang out. We discourage any discussion of clubs or comments about others or other groups. We are here to simply share, enjoy and encourage. We encourage you to contribute.
We have provided a page for your photos, another for your remembrances, add a brief anecdote if you fancy or an amusing experience with your dog.
In addition to this webpage we also feature both a Group Blog- where we encourage friendly chat and sharing - along with a Group Yahoo List for all to take part in and enjoy.
We know there are hundreds of stories of courage, devotion, service, merriment, companionship, and everyday life out there about these great dogs. We offer you an opportunity, and an outlet to share with others these personal tales of joy and enlightenment. We also encourage you to send along your favorite photos so that we can all celebrate and enjoy this wonderful, unique, and talented breed together.
